Opintojaksossa tutustutaan kansainvälisten ihmisoikeuksien perusperiaatteisiin ja oikeudenalan eri osa-alueisiin.

NB. You can take either the 1st or the 2nd lecture test or retake your lecture test by taking both of them.

Teaching methods

Kansainvälisen oikeuden pooliin voit suorittaa ao. 2 op:n englanninkielisen ihmisoikeusluentosarjan.

Halutessasi voit suorittaa luentosarjan jälkeen myös 3 op:n seminaariosion opintojaksoon ONVAL0023V24-3001 Ihmisoikeudet (ks. tarkempia tietoja ko. opintojaksosta). Tämä ei siis kuitenkaan kuulu kansainvälisen oikeuden pooliin.

Kurssin opetuskieli on englanti.

CONTENTS:
This introduction to human rights law covers a wide range of topics from philosophy of human rights to the right to life, privacy, expression, and more. After this course, students will have learned the basics of human rights protection from an international perspective, the key sources of human rights legislation, and the most relevant international legal instruments. The course will be taught as contact teaching.
