The student can finish their thesis for presentation and evaluation.

- Thesis report
- English abstract
- Plagiarism check
- Presentation of a thesis in accordance with the degree programme’s practices
- Maturity test
- The commissioner’s evaluation
- The student’s self-evaluation and peer evaluation in accordance with the degree programme’s practices
- Archiving and publishing the thesis
Location and time
You study at your own pace. The only scheduled dates are the start of the pre-evaluation and the thesis seminar.
Materials
The course uses learning materials such as methodological literature and articles related to the topic.
Teaching methods
The course involves completing the thesis through independent study. The course will be completed in the spring of 2026, April-May. The course ends with a preliminary assessment of the thesis and a presentation of the thesis in a presentation seminar (the dates of thesis seminars can be found in Thesis process nursing - Moodle).
The course includes the opportunity for personal guidance via Teams.
Dates are agreed on a case-by-case basis.
The course utilizes Teams and Zoom applications, Wihi, Thesis-Moodle and the Lapland University of Applied Sciences thesis website.
Exam schedules
A maturity test is taken at the end of the course.
Student workload
The scope of the course is 5 credits, which means a total workload of approximately 135 hours.
