Objective

Upon successful completion of the course the student should be able to:

1) reflect on, assess and communicate about their professional and academic interests, skills and abilities
2) communicate effectively in professional contexts
3) produce attractive, powerful and professional-looking documents and videos for the job application process
4) identify and assess tools and channels for finding interesting jobs and career opportunities.
5) evaluate and utilize AI tools for professional purposes.

Content

The course provides the student with an opportunity to develop their communication skills in English for career development purposes.

From the process of applying for jobs to professional development, the course aims to enhance students’ generic skills such as argumentation, negotiation, problems solving and critical thinking. Through practical activities in small groups and individually, students will learn skills and strategies for crafting compelling documents, performing well in interviews, and networking with other professionals.

Students can expect to gain insights into their career paths, and develop a strong foundation in professional English usage that is crucial for career advancement in the international job market.

Pass: Active participation, successful completion of course tasks and assignments.
Fail: Lack of active participation, required tasks not completed.
