Opintojakson suoritettuaan opiskelija osaa
- määrittää konseptimuotoilun ja sen prosessin periaatteet
- soveltaa eri tiedonhaku- ja ideointimenetelmiä konseptimuotoiluprosessin yhteydessä
- perustella tekemiään ratkaisuja konseptin esittämisen tapoja hyödyntäen
- käyttää käsivaraisia visualisointitekniikoita konseptisuunnittelun välineenä
- havainnollistaa ideoitaan ja ratkaisuehdotuksiaan visuaalisesti muille osapuolille

Luentoja ja ohjattuja harjoituksia 60 h sekä itsenäistä työskentelyä 75 h.
Accomplishment methods
Luennoille osallistuminen läsnäolevana sekä hyväksyttävästi suoritetut harjoitukset ja tehtävät.
Content
Konseptimuotoilun perusteet. Opetellaan eri menetelmien avulla tiedonhakua ja ideointia sekä tuotteen muotoilullisten ratkaisuiden tekoa, perustelua ja valintaa. Konseptin esittämisen tavat. Visualisointitekniikat konseptisuunnittelun eri vaiheissa. Harjoitellaan visuaalista kommunikaatiota piirtämisen avulla.
