Objective

The student knows how to find and process sources of information about new and emerging technologies. The student can critically assess the information of future technologies and list trustworthy sources of information. The student knows how to communicate new information in foreign language.

Materials

The general material of the course will be in the course's Moodle workspace. Additional material will be searched from the internet and AI as needed. It's also required to independently search for more information during the course.

Student workload

The study unit is 5 ECTS, which amounts to 135 hours of work in total (approximately). On average, your work will be distributed the following way:

The student can list emerging technologies and has knowledge from which sources to search information from. The information sources have not been critically assessed.

The student can communicate information of emerging technologies using a narrow vocabulary and basic presentation tools and methods.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student can list and elaborate on emerging technologies and critically review the information source.

The student can communicate information on emerging technologies utilising varying professional terms and concepts and the most appropriate presentation tools and methods.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student can present emerging technologies and critically review the information source.

The student can communicate new information utilising rich language and novel presentation tools and methods.
