Objective
Upon completing this module, the student should be able to discuss in depth various questions related to law of the sea.
Execution methods
The module consists of two parts: A & B. Both can be completed by literature examinations but you may can also gain the ECTS for part A by lectures/written assignment/seminar (about which you will find more information in Moodle workspace "Public International Law Courses in English").
The module is available both in fall and spring term but the ways of organizing the part A may vary. NB. Before taking the part B literature exam, you need to pass first the part A.

A) 2 ECTS: (electronic) literature exam / lectures / written assignment / seminar
B) 3 ECTS: (electronic) literature exam
Content
International law of the sea: jurisdictional zones, environmental protection, marine living resources, etc.
Teaching methods
After having passed the OTMEVAL0009 LAW OF THE SEA Part A literature exam (2 ECTS), you are able to take this Part B. You can prepare a written assignment about the relationship of some specific country to the law of the sea. This Part B may also consist of lectures (more detailed information on the Moodle workspace "Public International Law Courses in English").
