Objective
Learning objectives
Upon completing this module, the student should be able to discuss in depth various questions related to international human rights law.
Execution methods
The module is available both in fall and spring term but the ways of organizing the parts may vary.
Accomplishment methods
The module consists of 2 parts (A & B):
A) 2 ECTS: lectures
B) 3 ECTS: seminar / written assignment / literature exam
Content
Fundamentals of international human rights law as well as more specific regulation in the area.
NOTE! This course is similar in content to the course taught in Finnish ONVAL0023 Ihmisoikeudet. Before registering, you should note that it is not possible to take two courses of the same content, but in different languages, for the degree.
Teaching methods
Follow a set of virtual lectures (more detailed information on the Moodle workspace "Public International Law Courses in English") and take the lecture test in the electrical exam service called EXAM (constantly available).
You are allowed to retake the lecture test twice but this can only be done after the results of your previous attempt are registered, i.e. you will not be able to retake the test immediately.
