Having completed this study unit

• You understand the basic concepts of financial management and know the legislation related to financial management.
• You know the basics of bookkeeping and financial statements.
• You understand the concept of value-added tax and are familiar with value-added tax and corporate taxation.
• You calculate the taxable income.
• You know how to do bookkeeping with an electronic financial management system.
• You understand the basic concept of cost-volume profit analysis and pricing for small business.
• You know the importance of identifying costs and pricing for a small business and of cash flow.

You know the basics of bookkeeping and financial statements.

You know how to apply bookkeeping and compile financial statements.
You are able to use value-added tax and understand the taxation procedures related to value-added tax and corporate taxation.
You are able to use the basic concept of cost-volume profit analysis and pricing for SMEs.

You understand the role of financial management in business.
You know the basics of accounting and can apply them to small business.
