Objective

After completing the course, the student:
- recognizes the topicality of development and research themes in their own field of study
understands how the results of development and research projects are communicated in professional events or research conferences.

Execution methods

Participation in an open professional or research-related seminar or lecture series, and the creation of a lecture diary. Students can discuss with their thesis supervisor the suitability of a relevant seminar. Seminars typically span 2-3 days; a shorter seminar can be supplemented with a publication related to the theme.

ONLINE 2: The implementation only includes assignments that are completed independently
and assessed by the teacher. There is no pre-determined schedule for the
implementation.

Lecture diary uploaded to the online classroom.

Content

Current discussions related to the subject area of one's major or the topic of the master's thesis.

Kuvataiteilijan uusi työ- ja ammattikenttä (KUVATA) -hankkeen webinaarisarjan luentokokonaisuuden voi suorittaa 2:n opintopisteen seminaarikurssiksi reklektoivalla luentopäiväkirjalla: kirjaa ylös webinaarin herättämät keskeiset ajatukset ja pohdinnat! On suositeltaaa osallistua webinaariin, kun se järjestetään, mutta on mahdollista kuunnella myös tallenne, joka jokaistaan jokaisen webinaarin jälkeen. Webinaarisarja tukee taiteilijoiden työtä ja ansaintamahdollisuuksia. Taidealan asiantuntijat ja osaajat kertovat uusista toimintatavoista ja projektimuotoisen työn välineistä. Tarjolla on asiantuntijoiden johdantoja, verkottumista ja digitaalisia työkaluja.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Rejected: The performance is very deficient or erroneous, or it includes significant misunderstandings.
Accepted: The lecture diary meets the requirements of the assignment.
