Objective
The aim of this course is to learn to write texts that differ in structure, vocabulary, and style. The texts may be summaries, announcements, opinion pieces, CVs, etc.
Having completed the course you will be able
1) to write clearly and coherently about various topics using a few challenging structures.
2) to comment on other writers’ texts
3) to reach the level B2 in writing of the six-level CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
Content
You will write various types of texts and do grammar exercises. You can point out differences between formal and informal texts. You will also work on your own texts according to the feedback from the teacher. The main emphasis is on your own production. The teacher and the students jointly agree on the studying method.

Qualifications
The course is available to those who have completed or are presently completing the course XFIN0226 Structures of Standard Written Finnish and to those with corresponding skills (language skill level B1–B2 in reading comprehension).
