Objective
Having successfully completed the course, the student will
1) be familiar with the most important facts of French history, geography and institutions
2) have knowledge of French culture, society and lifestyle.
3) get to know the Francophonie and its importance in international relations
4) be familiar with French culture in a way that allows the student to be able to communicate effectively in French.

Independent work online, 69h. Reading the material on Moodle, an active participation on the forum, completing activities and writing tasks for each unit.
Content
Units on Moodle covering various topics such as :
1) French history, geography and institutions
2) French culture, society and lifestyle
3) What is Francophonie
Teaching methods
The first meeting is in-person (to be decided with the students by poll sent by email).
The rest of the course is online and asynchronous (independent work).
Assessment criteria, approved/failed
1) Contact teaching, 12h : 80% attendance is required.
2) Independent work online : reading the material, completing the activities and writing tasks, be active on the forum.
