Objective
Having successfully completed this course, the student will
1) possess extensive knowledge of basic Chinese grammar and an extended vocabulary
2) be able to understand and extract information from short recorded passages dealing with everyday matters
3) also be able to give a short, rehearsed, basic presentation on a familiar subject
4) be able to write very short, basic descriptions of everyday events, past activities and personal experiences
5) be able to achieve the level A2 of the CEFR (the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
Content
The course consists of extended information of used everyday events, e.g. talking and making plan, travelling in China, making conjections and suggestions, etc. The course also includes extensive information through texts, lectures and different media on Chinese culture background; enlarged vocabulary of the above mentioned topics. Further Chinese essay reading and writing skills are included as well.
