Objective

The work ability coordinator training consists of two 5-credit study courses: "Renewable Services for Employment and Work Ability" and "Comprehensive Work Approach to Employment and Work Ability". Training package equips the student to work on employment and work ability and to work in cooperation networks.
Working capacity coordinators work in the labor administration, in the privet companies, in the municipalities and cities, and in the social and health sector in various positions.

The purpose of the course:

The student acquires basic knowledge of the employment and work ability service system, its components and operations. The student learns to know the factors and situations related to the challenges of employment and ability to work and to look for ways to solve situations as part of cooperation networks.

Learning outcomes:

After completing the course, the student
• understand the importance of maintaining, assessing and promoting work ability from the perspective of the individual, the organization and society
• is familiar with the roles of employment and work capacity support actors, the network and the legislation governing the operation
• is able to work as part of a multidisciplinary network and system from his / her job role
• is familiar with the services provided by the third sector to promote retention and employment
• understand the work-related change and its effects on Finnish working life
• is familiar with the challenges of employment and working capacity of working-age people
