Objective

Learning objectives:

The student
- can apply principles of guiding children in planning early childhood educational activities
- plans, carries out and assesses art education based on children’s own play, narrative and expression
- can act in a child-oriented manner and take into account the developmental level of children as well as pedagogic and didactic needs as the basis for activities
- expands and deepens their concept of children’s culture and forms thereof as well as understand the importance of children’s culture for a child’s development
- understands the basic principles of play pedagogy
- is able to plan, implement and evaluate play pedagogical activities in early childhood education

- Children’s culture and its importance to child development
- Basic principles of play pedagogy
- Design, implementation and evaluation of play pedagogy

Exam schedules

Opintojakson uusiminen tai arvosanan korottaminen:
Tutkintoon johtavassa koulutuksessa hylätyn arvioinnin saatuaan opiskelijalla on oikeus kahteen uusintasuorituskertaan opintojakson päättymistä seuraavan
lukukauden loppuun mennessä.
Mikäli opiskelija ei kolmella (3) suorituskerralla saa hyväksyttyä arvosanaa, hänen on
aloitettava opintojakson/lukukauden opiskelu uudelleen mahdollisesti muuttuneiden
vaatimusten mukaisesti.
Hyväksyttyä arvosanaa voi korottaa yhden (1) kerran opintojakson päättymisajankohtaa seuraavan lukukauden loppuun mennessä.

Arvioitavien oppimistehtävien palautuspäivämäärät näkyvät Moodlessa.

The student does not understand the principles of child guidance in the planning of early childhood education activities. He does not take into account the level of development of children or pedagogical and didactic needs as a starting point for activities. The student does not understand the importance of children's culture and art education for the child's development or the basic principles of play pedagogy in their activities.

Professional activities:
The student is not able to apply the principles of child guidance when planning and implementing pedagogical activities and art education in early childhood education. He / she is not able to plan, implement or evaluate play pedagogical activities in early childhood education.

Ethical competence and responsibility:
The student has no understanding of the professional significance of human dignity, research knowledge, inclusion and fairness in their activities. She does not understand the importance of professional responsibility when working with children and parents. The student does not take environmental safety into account in planning and implementation.

Satisfactory (1)

The student has a poor understanding of the principles of child guidance in the planning of early childhood education activities. He knows little about the level of development of children and their pedagogical and didactic needs as a starting point for their activities. The student has a very poor understanding of the importance of children's culture and art education for a child's development and the basic principles of play pedagogy in their activities.

The student makes poor use of the principles of child guidance when planning and implementing pedagogical activities and art education in early childhood education. He is very deficient in planning, implementing and evaluating play pedagogical activities in early childhood education.

The student is very poorly aware of the professional significance of human dignity, researched knowledge, inclusion and fairness in his / her activities. She knows the importance of professional responsibility when working poorly with children and parents. The student pays little attention to environmental safety in planning and implementation.
