Opintojakso pohjautuu uusimpaan lastensuojelun sijaishuoltoa koskevaan tutkimustietoon, jota esitellään opintojakson sisältöihin liittyen. Arvioitavassa tehtävässä pakollisena lähteenä valinnaisten lähteiden lisäksi: Enroos,R & Heino,T & Pösö,T. (toim.) 2016. Huostaanotto. Lastensuojelun vaativin tehtävä. Tampere:Vastapaino
