Objective

Having successfully completed the course the student will be able
1) to solve simple tasks of oral and written communication related to organisational tasks in international projects and networking
2) to achieve the level B1 of the CEFR (the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

Execution methods

Listening, reading, writing and speaking exercises, 24 hours.
Regular attendance (80%) and active participation in exercises.
Homework assignments.

Content

The course is based on: listening, reading, writing and speaking exercises.
Exercises are carried out in pairs or small groups.
Short, topic-related documents are read and written based on examples.
Texts and other materials are read and related exercises are done.
The texts produced in the course replace the final exam.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

1) active participation in class (attendance min. 80%)

2) completion of homework assignments.

Qualifications

Level A2 of the CEFR (the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages),
e.g. the basic courses XRAN0001 to XRAN0004 offered by the Language Centre.
It is recommended that you attend the course TRAN0201 French: Reading Comprehension,
before attending this course.
