Objective

In the course you learn to control a broeader 3D-design project ja use 3D CAD tools in a more versatile way. The goal is to create a fully functional model from the semester project topic. You also learn the basics of 3D printing through theory and practical printing exercises. You know the meaning of 3D printing in product design and fabrication.

Content

- Solid Works software usage (from year 2022 onwards)
(- Inventor 3D advanced usage until year 2021)
- 3D printing; theory and practical exercises (design principles, material extrusion technology)
- Re-manufacturing of products through additive manufacturing
- the optimization of product properties (e.g. material amount); learning and knowing the principles of material saving manufacturing
