Imagine being able to monitor your client’s movements in real time or retrospectively, tailor rehabilitation programs based on precise data, and boost motivation through more personalized feedback. Wearable technology makes this possible—and its development is faster than ever. In this course, you’ll learn how smart sensors and activity trackers, for example, can benefit physiotherapy and occupational therapy practices. Although the course is delivered online, the content is hands-on: you’ll get to use your own smartphone and apply what you’ve learned in practice. Join us to explore how wearable technology can open new possibilities in rehabilitation—for you and your clients.

The Use of Wearable Technology in Therapy Professions This course provides foundational knowledge on the applications of wearable technology in physiotherapy and occupational therapy. It covers the basics of wearable technology, its potential uses, and its impact on client rehabilitation. You will gain an understanding of various wearable devices and learn to evaluate their benefits and challenges in therapeutic work.
