Research Seminar I (5cr)

Objective

Having completed the seminar the studentis able to - write a research plan - comment and provide feedback on other participants’ texts - argument his/ her views orally and in writing - search for appropriate literature on his/ her own research fromvarious databases.

Content

Writing a research plan and discussing the plans of otherparticipants. A research plan includes: - the research topic and its justification - the core concepts - the initial research objectives and research problems - the research method and a plan for gathering research data

Execution methods

Seminar sessions, 25 h. Each participant presents his/her research plan. The participantsfamiliarize with the texts before the seminar session and preparethemselves to give constructive criticism. The supervisor mayappoint an individual opponent, or the role may be carried outcollectively.

Accomplishment methods

A research plan as required by the supervisor.
