Practical Training (15cr)

Objective

Having completed the course students can assess their own skills in relation to the needs, tasks, and challenges of the work environment.

Content

Work practice (1–3 months) in a workplace approved in advance by the responsible teacher, and a report on the work practice. The work practice report includes the following:
- a description of the environment, function, and strategy of the workplace
- a description of the student’s own tasks (e.g. pictures, drafts, ideating phases) as part of the workplace’s overall function and organization
- an analysis of an individual function at the workplace and its examination from the perspective of studies
- a report on possible acquired skills, views, and networks and an estimate of possible tasks after graduation
- a copy of the letter of reference

Hyväksytty: Raportti on laadittu ohjeistuksen mukaisesti, ja siinä reflektoidaan omaa osaamista työtehtävien vaatimuksia vasten. Opiskelija esittää työtodistuksen, josta käy ilmi työskentelyjakson pituus.

Execution methods

Kokopäiväinen työharjoittelu 1-3kk, työharjoitteluraportti 5-15 s.

Accomplishment methods

Full-time work practice 1–3 months, a work practice report.
1 month work practice, 5 pages report = 5 cr.
2 month work practice, 10 pages report = 10 cr.
3 month work practice, 10-15 pages report = 15 cr.
