Objective
AimThe course will introduce you to the principles of career planning. You will have tools for understanding your core competences. You will learn about Finnish working culture and the working life trends, and recognize required competence. You will compare your different career options and make an action plan that you can follow. You will learn to create targeted job application documents in which you are able to present your competency.
After the course- you will have a holistic image of your skills, strengths and development needs- you will be able to make career choices and development plans that take into account your competency- you will be able to present your international skills and take into account cultural aspects in the world of work- you will be able to prepare job application documents and build networks.
Content
ContentsThe course is arranged in five modules that follow each other:1. Self-knowledge and competency2. Understanding working life3. My career and transferable skills4. A step forward: personal action plan5. Applying for a job.
Throughout the course, you will build your understanding of your core competency. You will understand the principles of making job application documents that emphasize your strengths and goals.
Assessment criteria, approved/failed
Acknowledged/Fail. The evaluation is based on completing the assignments.
