Objective

After completing the course, the student will be able to
-describe various aspects and applications of winter art
-describe the scientific, cultural, and artistic foundations of winter art
-identify the connections between ecological, social, and cultural sustainability and winter art
-evaluate events and locations applying winter art

Content

The areas and applications of winter art. The scientific, cultural, and artistic foundations of winter art. Winter art and sustainability thinking.

Execution methods

An essay based on previously acquired expertise in snow and ice sculpting and/or completion of the Winter Art in Communities or Winter Art in Tourism course, along with reflecting on personal experiences in relation to the course literature. The essay should be 5-7 pages in length, including images.

The implementation only includes assignments that are completed independently and assessed by the teacher.
