Objective
Having successfully completed the course, the student will
1) possess extensive knowledge of profound Chinese grammar and an extended vocabulary
2) be able to understand and extract information from intermediate long recorded passages dealing with everyday life topics
3) be able to give an intermediate long presentation on familiar subjects
4) be able to write intermediate long descriptions of everyday life events, past activities and personal experiences
5) be able to achieve the level B1 of the CEFR (the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
Content
The course consists of extended information of everyday life events, e.g. seeing a doctor, attending parties, renting an apartment, etc. The course also includes extensive information through texts, lectures and different media on Chinese culture background: enlarged vocabulary of the mentioned topics above. Further Chinese articles reading, fluent Chinese character writing and fluent everyday life topic writing skills are included as well.

XKII0004 Chinese 4 or equivalent studies.
