Objective
Objectives:
• The Language Buddy is a fluent Finnish speaker supporting the student learning Finnish as second language (*S2 = Finnish as second language)
• The Language Buddy Student is an S2* student who needs support for learning Finnish
Language Buddy activities strengthen the Finnish language skills and integration of international students and increase the international and diversity skills of Finnish speaking students.
The objectives are
• to know and understand new people and cultures
• to encourage the international student to speak Finnish
• to support the integration of the international student
• to build language and culture awareness
• to learn plain Finnish
Assessment criteria, approved/failed
Evaluation criteria:
Rejected: The student has not completed the required activities.
Approved: The student has successfully completed the required activities.
