• You develop and deepen oral and written communication skills and are familiar with the main aspects of Finnish society.
• You can interact in Finnish in routine tasks related to areas of immediate relevance and their field of interest: for example, making an appointment, writing a simple email, and telling their opinions.
• You recognize and understand the characteristics of Finnish society and values.

For Lapland UAS students thedigital study book is provided. Other students may use the printed book or purchase the license.

Teaching methods

- continuous learning with daily tasks in digital study book / Moodle
- regular live, on campus / online contact lessons once or twice as week in Jan-April

If the student already has Finnish skills on at least level A2 (CEFR), we recommend attending more advanced level Finnish study units.
