Further information
In the Mobile Device Content Production section, you will learn how to use mobile devices to produce simple online videos and photos. You will also learn from workflow design to archiving finished material. The goal of this section is to make a short video online, on the channel of your choice, taking into account the requirements of the channel. In addition to this, you make a series of three digital photos. You choose the subject of the video, write it, make a list of pictures and shoot the necessary pictures. You then cut the video and return it to the recovery area. You give two group members peer feedback on the success of the rules they have gone through and possible suggestions for improvement.
The goal of the photo section is to capture and process three digital photos. One is a portrait, a portrait that could be used, for example, here in Moodle as a profile picture. You look for a neutral background suitable for your portrait, a place with affordable light to capture the person, and take the picture with a mobile phone or SLR camera. You can use the assistant to use the camera if you are shooting yourself, but you decide the details, angle, posing, light, background, and image processing. The second image is the product image. The third is a picture of a place, there can also be people in the picture. You work mostly independently.
The following programs are reviewed in full: Adobe Premier Rush mobile and Adobe Lightroom mobile
In this section, we cover the basics of producing and editing visual material on a PC. You can use either the Adobe software or their free Open Source counterparts. Take a look at the materials and do an independent task during August and return it to Moodle. In September, we go through the demanding image processing and production of vector graphics together and we watch video editing on a PC. In the production of visual material, our focus is on digital webcasting.
Software used:
Image processing Gimp (free) or (Adobe) Photoshop
Vector graphics Inkscape (free) or (Adobe) Illustrator
Video editing OpenShot (or equivalent freeware) or Adobe Premiere
