Objective

After completing the course, the student can: - Assess how and in which situations artificial intelligence can be responsibly utilised as part of nursing practice. - Use a selection of chosen AI tools. - Apply AI ethically and responsibly, taking into account patient privacy, data protection, and the environmental impacts of AI use. - Critically evaluate AI-generated information based on evidence, and utilise it in nursing practice, for example in decision-making and patient guidance.

Content

- Basic knowledge of artificial intelligence. - Each student selects the AI tools they wish to use during the course. It is recommended to use more than one AI tool. - Ethical and responsible aspects related to the use of AI. - Assignments related to the use of AI. Each assignment begins with instructions on how AI may be used for that specific task.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Pass A passing grade requires the completion and passing of all course assignments by the specified deadlines. Criteria for a passing grade: The student: - is able to use their chosen AI applications - is able to justify the use of AI ethically and with consideration for environmental responsibility - is able to maintain data security when using AI - is able to critically assess the suitability of AI in nursing practice, as well as the reliability of AI-generated information
