Objective
After completing this course, the doctoral researcher is able to:
- select relevant data to the qualitative study
- develop a method for the analysis of the material
- conduct a preliminary analysis of the material
- understand the differences between content, narrative and discourse analysis.
Content
On the course, the doctoral researchers learn to use different kinds of qualitative methods of content, narrative and discourse analysis.

Pass
The doctoral researcher successfully selects relevant data, develops a suitable method for analysis, conducts a preliminary analysis, and demonstrates a clear understanding of the differences between content, narrative, and discourse analysis. The researcher provides detailed explanations and justifications for their choices, shows proficiency in applying the chosen method, and effectively interprets and discusses the results.
Fail
The doctoral researcher fails to select relevant data, develop a method for analysis, conduct a preliminary analysis, or understand the differences between content, narrative, and discourse analysis. The researcher provides insufficient explanations and justifications for their choices, shows a lack of proficiency in applying the chosen method, and struggles to interpret and discuss the results.
