Objective

Having successfully completed the course, the student will :
1) be able to discuss about news topics related to the legal field in France.
2) acquire a specialized vocabulary in the field of law
3) express his/her opinion
4) achieve the level B1 of the CEFR (the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

Content

The courses focuses mostly on oral and listening skills.
Discussions about the latest news topics related to the legal field in France.
Authentic documents will be used : videos, radio extracts, press articles...

Qualifications

Level A2 of the CEFR (the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages), e.g. the basic courses XRAN0001 to XRAN0004 offered by the Language Centre. If you studied French in high school, contact the teacher.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

1) 80% attendance is required. It is allowed to miss maximum 2 classes. Extra homework will be done to compensate for the absences.

2) Active participation in class.

3) Final exam (oral).
