Objective

Strategic networks Management explores the dynamics of inter-firm network relations in the global economy. In a highly competitive global economy world characterized by competitive shifts, rapid technological change, and resource constraints, firms are turning to cooperative relationships with other organizations as an essential instrument for achieving their overall strategic objectives. This course focuses on identifying the structure and processes of strategic network management and justifications why networks have become the preferred modes of organization in the global economy. In addition, the course will offer insights to the business system in the context of the new competitive landscape, strategic networks as part of the strategy management process, network analysis and the management and coordination of strategic networks in an international business context.
A mix of both theoretical concepts and practical case exercises will be used to develop strategic insights to the subject. Substantive theme will focus on managerial decision situations and case exercises will focus on network analysis of a case company.
