Osaamistavoitteet

Brush-up English course aims to help students become confident and correct in their use of English in different situations they will find themselves in during their ICT studies. In other words, students do this course to activate, develop and enhance their practical competence in the use of the English language.

Sisältö

The specific objectives of the Brush up English course are toallow students practice their writing, speaking, reading and listening comprehension skills and competences which are essential for getting by - and getting on -  in versatile ICT studies preparing students for your future working life. The main emphasis of the course is on practical communication proficiency and developing fluency and confidence writing and speaking in English, reading English texts or listening to English, which are the core components of successful language use. As the studies during this course have a special focus on using English in ICT situations, skills in the core areas are developed through studying materials for professional use of the English language in ICT contexts. The course involves special practice in language structures, vocabularies and phrases while learning practical English language skills for the ICT field.
